World of Warcraft Adding Recolors of Rare Mounts, But There\'s a Catch

Feb 25,25

Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are making their debut in WoW China, starting January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.

The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of its predecessor, boasts a unique addition: auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight. These clouds, symbolic of peace and good fortune in Chinese culture, add a distinctive flair. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a resplendent golden phoenix, features a sleek black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic line: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."

These mounts are obtainable through separate promotions: the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk through a "Treasure Workshop" event (details pending), and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar from Landro's Loot Box (¥200, approximately $27). The loot box offers a chance at other coveted rewards, including the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Team purchases unlock bonus crates based on spending tiers.

Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released outside of China. For now, players in other regions can only admire these stunning additions to the WoW mount collection.
