Warframe's Android Closed Beta Launch Date Imminent

Dec 24,25

Digital Extremes' multiplayer action shooter RPG, Warframe, debuted on iOS in February 2024. Following its successful iOS launch, pre-registrations have now opened for Android. The first closed beta test for Warframe on Android is on the horizon. It’s finally happening!

What do we know about the Warframe Android Closed Beta?

The news was officially shared during Day 2 of TennoCon 2025. The beta is planned for a Fall 2025 release. As with the earlier iOS beta, Digital Extremes will send invites directly to the email linked to your Warframe account.

If you don’t have one yet, be sure to create a Warframe account. Head over to the game’s official site to sign up and pre-register.

Once you’re in the closed beta, you’ll enjoy the complete Warframe experience. There’s plenty to anticipate: controller support is confirmed for many devices. You can use Bluetooth controllers like the DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller, as well as USB-connected options such as the Razer Kishi or Backbone.

That said, there are a few restrictions: cross-platform play and in-game voice chat will not be active during the test. Additionally, unlike the main game, the Android closed beta does not include any in-game purchases.

When the beta ends, all player progress will be reset, so actions taken during the test won’t transfer over to the official mobile launch.

Excited for Warframe on Android?

First announced for mobile back in 2021, Warframe is a third-person shooter featuring five major expansions and more than 30 story-driven quests. Players can unlock over 57 unique Warframes and explore a vast star system. The game will be free to play.

You can now pre-register via the Google Play Store. By doing so, you’ll receive the Cumulus Collection when you log in after the Android version launches.
