Rebel Wolves, a studio comprised of former developers from The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, has announced their debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker. While not aiming for a full-scale AAA production, the team's aspirations are considerable.

Studio founder Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz stated their goal is to achieve Witcher 3-level quality, albeit on a smaller scale:

“We aim for AAA quality, mirroring The Witcher 3—it's in our DNA. However, as a small studio launching our first project, we're crafting something more concise yet equally refined.”

The estimated playtime is 30-40 hours:

“Comparing anything to The Witcher 3, designed for 100+ hours but often exceeding 200-300, is ambitious. But does sheer size define AAA? Call of Duty is AAA without an extensive campaign. Therefore, is scale truly pivotal?”

Tomaszkiewicz further downplayed industry classifications like "AAA" and "AAAA" as insignificant.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is an action RPG centered on a half-vampire with a 30-day, 30-night deadline to rescue his loved ones. Despite the time constraint, the developers emphasize a streamlined gameplay experience. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it's slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with the launch date yet to be revealed.
