De Game Awards 2024: een blik op de genomineerden

Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 heeft de genomineerden in 19 categorieën bekendgemaakt, met als hoogtepunt de felbegeerde Game of the Year (GOTY)-prijs. De kanshebbers van dit jaar vertegenwoordigen een breed scala aan titels, die de breedte en creativiteit binnen de game-industrie laten zien.

GOTY 2024: een spannende race

De GOTY-race is bijzonder hevig, met een mix van gevestigde franchises en verrassende nieuwkomers. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is koploper met meerdere nominaties, terwijl Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: ReFantazio en Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree het zeer competitieve deelnemersveld completeren. De opname van Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree heeft tot veel discussie onder fans geleid.

Stemmen en de ceremonie

Fans kunnen nu tot 11 december hun stem uitbrengen via de officiële website van The Game Awards en de Discord-server. De winnaars worden bekend gemaakt tijdens de live ceremonie op 12 december in het Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, wereldwijd gestreamd op Twitch, TikTok, YouTube en de officiële website.
