All Atomfall Playstyles Explained
Atomfall offers a unique RPG experience that empowers you to tailor your gameplay to your preferences right from the start. With a variety of playstyles to choose from, selecting the right one can be crucial to your enjoyment. If you're unsure which to pick, here's a comprehensive guide to help you understand each option and make an informed decision.
All Playstyles in Atomfall and How They Work
Atomfall prides itself on offering you the freedom to experience its story in the way you prefer. When you start a new game, you're greeted with five distinct playstyle modes, each designed to cater to different player experiences.
- Sightseer – Ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in the story without the stress of combat or survival. Exploration, Survival, and Combat are set to 'Assisted' difficulty, making it a low-pressure mode.
- Investigator – Perfect for players who enjoy exploring without assistance or hints, yet prefer combat to remain less challenging. Exploration is set to 'Challenging' difficulty, while Survival is 'Casual', and Combat is 'Assisted'.
- Brawler – Suited for players who relish combat and are up for a challenge. Combat is set to 'Challenging' difficulty, whereas Survival is 'Casual' and Exploration is 'Assisted', making these aspects more guided.
- Survivor – Recommended by the developers, this mode offers a balanced challenge across all areas. Combat, Survival, and Exploration are all set to 'Challenging' difficulty.
- Veteran – For the hardcore players seeking the ultimate test of their skills. All aspects – Combat, Survival, and Exploration – are set to 'Intense' difficulty.
Choosing the right playstyle initially can be challenging, but Atomfall allows you to switch without any penalties. If you find your current setting too easy or too hard, simply pause the game, go to 'Options', and under the 'Game' tab, select 'Playstyle'. You can then adjust the difficulty of Combat, Survival, and Exploration to align with one of the other playstyles.
For a more detailed customization, head to 'Advanced Options' where you can fine-tune various elements within each category, giving you complete control over your gaming experience.
Which Atomfall Playstyle Should You Start With?
Atomfall is designed to offer a balanced experience, but your choice should reflect what you find most enjoyable. The game gives you the freedom to decide how you want to be challenged or not.
If you're considering one of the five default playstyles, starting with either Investigator or Brawler might be a good idea. These options allow you to test the waters of the game's combat and exploration systems, helping you gauge your comfort level before making further adjustments.
However, the most personalized experience might come from creating a customized playstyle. This option lets you tailor every aspect of the game to your preferences, from enemy behavior to exploration and bartering mechanics, ensuring your gameplay is exactly as you want it.
Importantly, there are no achievements or trophies tied to specific difficulty levels, so feel free to experiment and change your playstyle as often as you like without any repercussions.
