Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming RTS-lite game, Battledom, currently in alpha testing. This title serves as a spiritual successor to Frenken's successful 2020 release, Herodom. Developed over two years by the part-time developer, Battledom represents a refined vision of his original Herodom concept.

Battledom features dynamic RTS combat mechanics, granting players freedom to maneuver units across the battlefield. Players directly target enemies and manually operate siege weapons for devastating attacks. Strategic depth is further enhanced through the use of various battlefield formations.

Players utilize in-game currency to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weapons and no armor. Customization is key; players can equip units with a range of weapons and armor pieces, each impacting stats like attack power, range, accuracy, and defense.

Quarry with stones in buckets and an elevator lifting a bucket of stoneResource gathering and crafting are central to gameplay. Players collect resources like wood, leather, and coal within their village to craft equipment at various workshops, including the blacksmith and magician's quarters.

Frenken's previous title, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating. This tower defense game features over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new character customization options, crops, and farm animals.

iOS users can participate in the Battledom alpha test via TestFlight. For updates and further information, follow Sander Frenken on X or Reddit, or explore his other games on the App Store.
