Brawl Stars: Buzz Lightyear Guide & Best Modes
Buzz Lightyear in Brawl Stars: A Guide to Mastering the Limited-Time Brawler
Supercell's Brawl Stars welcomes its newest brawler, the limited-time Buzz Lightyear, available only until February 4th! This unique character boasts three distinct combat modes, offering incredible versatility and making him a compelling addition to your roster. Let's explore how to best utilize Buzz Lightyear's capabilities.
How to Play Buzz Lightyear
Unlocking Buzz Lightyear is free via the in-game Shop. He arrives fully powered up at Power Level 11, with his Gadget already unlocked. He lacks Star Power and Gears, but his single Gadget, Turbo Boosters, lets him dash forward – perfect for closing in on enemies or escaping danger.
Buzz's Hypercharge, Bravado, temporarily boosts his stats. Both the Hypercharge and Gadget function across all three modes. The following table details Buzz's stats in each mode:
Mode | Image | Stats | Attack | Super |
---|---|---|---|---|
Laser Mode | ![]() |
Health: 6000, Movement Speed: Normal, Range: Long, Reload Speed: Fast | 2160 | 5 x 1000 |
Saber Mode | ![]() |

Wing Mode | ![]() |
Health: 7200, Movement Speed: Very Fast, Range: Normal, Reload Speed: Normal | 2 x 2000 | - |
Laser Mode excels at long-range combat, inflicting a burn effect. Saber Mode is ideal for close-quarters, functioning similarly to Bibi's attacks and featuring the Tank Trait. Wing Mode offers a balanced approach, best used at closer ranges.
Which Game Mode Suits Buzz Lightyear Best?
Buzz's versatility makes him effective in various game modes. Saber Mode thrives in close-quarters maps (Showdown, Gem Grab, Brawl Ball), while Laser Mode shines in open maps (Knockout, Bounty). His burn effect in Laser Mode disrupts enemy healing, making him a potent force even at low health.
Note: Buzz Lightyear is unavailable in Ranked Mode.
