"Death Stranding 2: Bosses Can Be Bypassed"
In the highly anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, players will encounter a groundbreaking feature that allows them to bypass traditional boss battles. This innovative mechanic, revealed by the game's director Hideo Kojima during a recent Koji Pro radio broadcast, offers players an alternative way to progress through the game's narrative without engaging in combat. By simply selecting "continue" on the game over screen after a failed boss encounter, players can view visual novel-style images and text descriptions of the battle, ensuring they don't miss out on crucial story elements.
Death Stranding 2 Development Updates
New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat
Director Hideo Kojima shared exciting news during the April 14 episode of Koji Pro's radio broadcasts. Death Stranding 2 will introduce a feature tailored for players who might find boss battles challenging. Instead of fighting, players can choose to advance by opting for a narrative-focused approach. Upon selecting "continue" after a game over, the game presents a detailed account of the battle through visuals and text, akin to a visual novel, allowing players to fully understand the story without needing to master the combat mechanics.
Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete
Kojima also provided an update on the game's development status, stating that Death Stranding 2 is approximately 95% complete. He likened the current stage of development to "10 o'clock PM" in a 24-hour cycle, suggesting that only a few hours—or in development terms, a short period—remain until the game is fully ready. This announcement comes on the heels of a presentation at South by South West (SXSW), where Kojima Productions and Sony unveiled a 10-minute trailer that gave fans a deeper look into the game's storyline and introduced new characters, including a character resembling Solid Snake. The trailer also highlighted some of the new features and story snippets exclusive to Death Stranding 2.
The SXSW presentation not only excited fans with its content but also revealed details about the collector's edition and pre-order bonuses of Death Stranding 2.
