Despite being somewhat overshadowed by other titles, Halo Infinite continues to receive exciting content updates. Recently, the development team introduced a new competitive game mode called S&D Extraction, offering players a fresh and thrilling experience with significant strategic depth.

S&D Extraction draws inspiration from Valve's Counter-Strike but introduces unique twists to keep the gameplay engaging. The mode features two teams of four players each: one team plays as attackers, tasked with planting a device on a designated point, while the other defends. After each round, teams switch roles, adding a layer of tactical variety. Victory is achieved by winning six rounds, ensuring intense competition.

The mode includes an extensive economic system, allowing players to purchase equipment at the start of each round using in-game currency earned through objectives. Equipment prices fluctuate based on performance, adding a dynamic element to strategy. All gear disappears after the round ends, encouraging careful spending and planning.

Item costs are determined by their effectiveness and power potential within a round, with more powerful items naturally costing more. Players can expect cheaper items in early rounds, pricier options mid-match, and potentially even more expensive gear toward the end if they save their earnings. Additionally, players will have the option to pay for respawn after being eliminated, providing another strategic layer to the gameplay.

S&D Extraction is set to launch for Halo Infinite in 2025, promising a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for fans of the franchise. This new mode is poised to reinvigorate the community and attract new players eager to test their skills in this innovative and strategic environment.
