In the world of *Elden Ring*, the bow traditionally serves as a supportive tool, used to draw enemy attention, weaken foes from a distance, or even farm runes by causing creatures to plummet to their demise. However, when you take on the role of the Ironeye in *Nightreign*, the bow transforms into the core element of your gameplay, offering a unique experience distinct from the other eight classes in *Nightreign*. This class is arguably the closest *Nightreign* comes to offering a support role. To see the Ironeye in action, check out the exclusive gameplay video below.

One of the first things you'll notice when playing as the Ironeye is their vulnerability. Although they can wield any weapon, the bow is essential for keeping a safe distance from the battle, as the Ironeye can be easily taken down, especially in the early stages. Thankfully, the starting bow is reliable, offering solid damage and the Mighty Shot skill, which enables long-range attacks with increased damage and poise impact.

In *Nightreign*, the mechanics of bows have been significantly enhanced. They now fire more rapidly, and you can move swiftly while targeting locked-on enemies. A notable change is the removal of the need for arrows, although this means you're limited to the arrow type your bow is equipped with. This change is particularly beneficial during boss fights, eliminating the worry of running out of ammunition. Additionally, new animations and acrobatic maneuvers, such as shooting arrows while rolling or leaping off walls, add flair to your combat style. You no longer need to switch to first-person mode for manual aiming, which allows for faster movement. The strong attack now fires a spread of three arrows, capable of hitting multiple targets, and you can even perform backstabs or visceral attacks on downed enemies with an arrow. These enhancements make the bow a formidable primary weapon in *Nightreign*, addressing the shortcomings it had in the base *Elden Ring*.

As the Ironeye, the bow is not just a weapon but the essence of the class. The Ironeye's main skill, Marking, is a swift dagger dash that pierces through enemies, marking them for additional damage from all sources. With a short cooldown, this skill can be consistently applied to bosses, enhancing your team's damage output. It also serves as a valuable mobility tool, allowing you to evade danger by passing through enemies.

The Ironeye's ultimate ability, Single Shot, is a powerful, invulnerable-charged attack that can obliterate groups of enemies in a straight line, making it an invaluable tool in crowded encounters.

What truly sets the Ironeye apart in a team setting is their ability to revive allies from a distance. In *Nightreign*, reviving a fallen teammate involves emptying a partitioned circle above their character through attacks. While most classes must risk close combat or use resources to revive, the Ironeye can do so safely and efficiently from afar without expending any resources. This ability can be crucial in determining the success of a run. However, reviving allies who require multiple circle segments to be cleared can be challenging for the Ironeye, given their limited damage output at range, unless they use their ultimate for this purpose.

While the Ironeye may not match the raw damage output of other classes, their utility is unparalleled. From enhancing team damage through marking, increasing item drops for everyone, to clearing mobs with their ultimate and safely reviving teammates, the Ironeye's contributions are vital to any squad in *Nightreign*.
