Valve Rolls Out Deadlock Upgrade

Oct 13,25

Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely overhauling the game's map design. The revamped battlefield now features three lanes instead of four, bringing it in line with standard MOBA layouts that typically follow this structure.

This fundamental change will dramatically affect gameplay strategy, forcing teams to reconsider their resource allocation. Gone is the traditional "1 vs 2" lane distribution - each path will now accommodate two heroes, prompting significant tactical adjustments.

The update revamps the Soul Orb mechanic, now allowing soul collection even without securing the final hit on enemies - speeding up resource gathering. Soul effects have been adjusted too, with reduced aerial suspension time.

Additional improvements include refined sprint mechanics, hero balancing, and support for cutting-edge technologies like DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0. The patch also delivers performance optimizations and bug fixes. Complete details are available in the official patch notes.
